On November 21, 2015 was held the first national screening of documentary about the Maidan "Winter on Fire: Ukraine's Fight For Freedom". Event was attended by relatives of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, representatives of diplomatic missions, President of Ukraine.
Film was presented by the director Yevgen Afineevsky, Ukrainian co-producers Lina Klebanova, Yuri Ivanishyn, Galina Sadomtseva, Pavlo Pleshok, and the United States Ambassador Jeffrey Payette.
Film was created by the international team of cinematographers from Ukraine, USA and UK (UkrStreamTV, SPN production, Netflix). The crew has processed more than 1,500 hours of chronicles, more than 100 interviews with members of Maidan were taken. Work on editing took about six months.
On September this year "Winter on fire" was presented at the Venice Film Festival, won a prize at the Toronto Film Festival and got into a short-list of 15 movies for Oscar submission in the Documentary Feature category.
