Kyiv, Ukraine, Friday March 31st 2017: ANTONOV new multipurpose aircraft, the AN−132D, took to the skies for its maiden flight today, from the company’s airfield in Kyiv, Ukraine.
The first prototype of the new aircraft flew for 1 hour and 50 minutes.
ANTONOV Company in partnership with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and TAQNIA Aeronautics from Saudi Arabia complit developing AN-132.
New AN-132 aircraft differs the AN-32 predecessor with a new level of technical, economic and flight performance data: lifting capacity is increased by 23%, flight range is 1.72 times longer while carrying 6 t of cargo, higher fuel efficiency, lower level of noise and emission.
